Interested in getting involved with an organization that helps better the community? Volunteer with St. Brigid Community Outreach Center!

As a volunteer, you will be assisting with the services they provide such as food, clothing, diapers, school lunch programs, and more. Fill out the form attached, and they will assign you to where they feel you would best fit!

The pantry/food area volunteers may be assigned to any or all of the following duties:

*packing food bags

*stocking food shelves

*rotating food based on use by dates and first in-first out

*bagging produce

maintaining cleanliness of food and back dock areas and the adjoining bathroom,

*assisting in other areas as needed.

All volunteers assist in maintaining the cleanliness and order of the Center, and assisting in other areas when needed.

Volunteer shifts are usually for one day a week and may be for either morning shift - 9:30 - 12:00;  afternoon shift - 12:00 - 3:00; or all day from 9:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Applications are accepted Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

- Clothing donation area volunteers may be assigned to any or all of the following duties:

receiving donations and issuing receipts to donors sorting items received, sizing and labeling pants, shoes, and bed linens   Bagging items not remaining at the Center or going into storage, loading carts with items to stock racks and shelves in the client service area "Store".   Assisting with yard sales, boutiques, and other duties in donation area as designated by the donation area lead volunteer.  

All volunteers:

Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and order of the Center and adjoining restrooms. Volunteers needed for morning (9:30 - 12:30) or afternoon (12:00 - 3:30) or for all day (9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.) shifts one day a week. Bilingual volunteers are encouraged to apply.

 

 

Center Hour Days and Hours Description: Monday - Friday   

Times:     Mornings - 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. or  Afternoons - 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. or  All day- 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Volunteers will:  

Assist clients as they select clothing and other household items for themselves and their family members, help prepare the food carts as needed, check to ensure appropriate selections are made by clients, assist clients in taking their food and clothing to their vehicles, stocking clothing racks and shelves from carts with donated items, and helping maintain the cleanliness and order of the client service area ("the Store").

Days:       Monday - Friday   

Times:     Mornings - 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. or  Afternoons - 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. or  All day- 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Right now volunteers are needed:

Monday afternoons Thursday mornings Friday morning, afternoon or all day.
