Children's Storybook Garden & Museum is a children’s literature themed garden that invites all children to read and play in each area of our spacious location in Historic Downtown Hanford. In addition to being a botanical garden and event space, we are a museum that is interactive and educational as it relates to King’s County agricultural history. We provide educational workshops and events for children of all ages, as well as adults-only events. Our programs are based on horticulture, nutrition, art, music, local history, environmental science, and literature. We aim to be a place for families to connect in an environment that is safe and beautiful. We encourage an understanding and enjoyment of plants and the role they play in our lives. We encourage reading and nurture the imagination in children and adults. We strive to provide a garden that is enabling and accessible for everyone.
