THE LISA PROJECT IS A UNIQUE MULTI-SENSORY EXHIBIT EXPERIENCE ALLOWING THE VISITOR TO HEAR, SEE AND EXPERIENCE THE REALITY OF THE WORLD OF CHILD ABUSE. THE KINGS COUNTY HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY, THE CHILD ABUSE PREVENTIONS COUNCIL AND KINGS PARTNERSHIP FOR PREVENTION ARE SO EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE THE FULL SCALE LISA PROJECT EXHIBIT HERE IN OUR VERY OWN COMMUNITY.
THROUGH AUDIO AND NARRATION FROM A CHILD’S PERSPECTIVE, VISITORS ARE GUIDED ROOM BY ROOM THROUGH SCENARIOS DEPICTING ABUSE. THIS EXPERIENCE IS FULL IMMERSING EACH GUEST INTO THE WORLD THAT THESE CHILDREN FACE ON A DAILY BASIS.
THE EXHIBIT IS RATED PG-13 DUE TO SOME MATURE CONTENT.
Volunteering with the Lisa Project will help spread awareness about the seriousness of child abuse and neglect that many children face everyday around the country and even within your own county. The Lisa Project is mostly staffed by volunteers and we are committed to getting those volunteers ready for our visitors and we will email with dates and times for trainings.
