We are busy planning Happily Haunted Halloween in the Garden 2019. We hope to draw in even more guests than last year. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 19th from 4:30-6:30 pm. We need volunteers to help plan and execute this popular family event. Just some of the few ways you can help:
1. Dress up as a storybook character at one of the houses in the Garden, play a carnival game with the kids, and then hand out candy before the kids move on to the next house. We need at least 11 volunteers for these trick or treat stations.
2. If you have carnival game ideas that are cheap, fun, and realistic, let's hear them. If you are the best face painter in the county, step forward.
3. We need plain cupcakes for a cake walk (which the kids will then decorate).
4. Donations of supplies are welcome, such as a dozen containers for candy, craft supplies, costumes, etc.
As we continue in our plans, we will create a list that matches volunteers to stations, a list of materials needed at each station, and a map. Whether you would like to be on the planning team, volunteer for a station at the event or donate supplies, we welcome your help! Remember, this is "Happily Haunted"....costumes are encouraged, but nothing gory. We are here to provide a fun event for families and kids, not to scare them. :)
