Kings United Way will be making senior care packages for elderly shut-ins. United Way will be seeking donations from the community leading up to the project day and volunteers will assemble the kits on April 12th. Volunteers can be any age. The lesson associated with this project is that we, as individuals, are part of a larger community who has members that need a little help from time to time.
The elderly, who are shut-ins, have to rely on others to assist them with getting items to meet their basic needs. By preparing and distributing care packages for seniors, we can provide tangible assistance with laundry supplies and personal hygiene products. This will be of great assistance to those on fixed incomes.
