Volunteer drivers in the Road to Recovery program help patients get to the lifesaving treatment they need. Volunteers drivers donate their time and vehicles to take patients to and from treatment appointments. They also provide encouragement and support.
To become a volunteer driver, all you need is:
- A safe and reliable vehicle
- A current, valid California driver's license
- Proof of automobile insurance
- Be 18 to 84 years young
- A good driving record
- A commitment to confidentiality
- Complete online training (email and computer necessary)
- To be available weekdays
