Be ready to help your neighbors and community in times of need.
Your time and talent can make a real difference in people's lives. Whether helping one displaced family or thousands, providing care and comfort to victims of disaster, or teaching others how to respond in emergencies, it's through the efforts of ordinary people that we can do extraordinary things!
At the event, you will receive basic skills training to respond to local disasters, such as homes fires. You will also have the chance to interact with Red Cross staff and other volunteers to learn more about the Red Cross.
We'll be offering a Red Cross Training to learn about disaster volunteer opportunities in Tulare & Kings Counties on February 29th from 10am-2pm:
10:00am to 1:00pm - Learn how we respond to home fires and provide assistance to people in need with our Disaster Action Team, how we are preparing the community through our Preparedness efforts, and how to join our Sound the Alarm, Save a Life smoke alarm campaign this spring.
1:00pm - 2:00pm - Complete volunteer application and lunch
Location: Boy Scouts Office, 230 NW Third Ave, Visalia, CA 93291
